1 tsp
1 tsp
baking soda

heavy cream

powdered sugar
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

How to Make Snow-White Wisconsin Sheet Cake


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 15"x10"x1" baking pan.
  • 2In a medium-sized mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
  • 3In a large saucepan, bring butter and water a boil. Remove from heat.
  • 4Add flour mixture to butter & water mixture and stir well; then add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla and stir until smooth.
  • 5Pour into greased pan and bake at 375 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until cake is golden brown and tests done. Cool for about 20 minutes.
  • 6While cake is cooling, make the frosting: combine butter and cream in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in sugar and vanilla and mix well. Immediately spread over cake.
