Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- FOR FROSTING:
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How To Make snow-white wisconsin sheet cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 15"x10"x1" baking pan.

Step 2In a medium-sized mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda; set aside.

Step 3In a large saucepan, bring butter and water a boil. Remove from heat.

Step 4Add flour mixture to butter & water mixture and stir well; then add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla and stir until smooth.

Step 5Pour into greased pan and bake at 375 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until cake is golden brown and tests done. Cool for about 20 minutes.

Step 6While cake is cooling, make the frosting: combine butter and cream in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in sugar and vanilla and mix well. Immediately spread over cake.
