snickers cake
I wanted to serve something a little different so, I looked around my kitchen and came up with this recipe. it was a big hit!

Ingredients
- 3 cups plain flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup crisco
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- 4 large eggs
How To Make snickers cake

Step 1Mix crisco and sugar. Add eggs all at once, beat well. Add vanilla and vinegar and continue beating. Next alternate buttermilk and flour that has been sifted with soda and salt, beginning and ending with buttermilk. Beat well and pour into 3 round 9" pans that have been sprayed with baking (flour)spray. Bake in preheated 325 degree F oven (about 20 min) or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely and frost with Chocolate buttercream frosting.

Step 2Chocolate Buttercream Frosting 2 Sticks (salted) butter softened but not melted 3 1/2 C. powdered sugar 1/2 C.cocoa powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 4 tablespoons evaporated milk 2 Snickers bar chopped into bite size peices (reserve) 1/4 C. chopped pecans (reserve)

Step 3Place all ingredients (except snickers & nuts)in large bowl and mix all at once. Blend on low speed and increase to medium as ingredients become moistened. Mix until light and fluffy. If mixture is to dry add more milk, if mixture is not stiff enough add more powdered sugar.

Step 4Frost all three layers and sides with frosting. Top with chopped snickers and nuts. Enjoy!
