Ingredients
- 1 package white cake mix
- 1 box 3 oz. strawberry jello
- 1 package 15 oz. frozen strawberries in syrup thawed and pureed
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- STRAWBERRY CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 1/4 cup butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries thawed and pureed
- 7 cups powdered sugar
- - freshly sliced strawberries, for garnish
How To Make simply delicious strawberry cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2- 9" cake pans.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine cake mix and jello. Add pureed strawberries, eggs oil and water. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour into prepared pans and bake for appox. 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 3Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and allow to cool completely on wire rack.

Step 4To make frosting:

Step 5In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with electric mixer until creamy. Beat in pureed strawberries and extract. Gradually add in powdered sugar beating until smooth.

Step 6Spread frosting in between layers and then on top and sides of cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
