Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- - confectioners' sugar for dusting
How To Make simple apple cake

Step 1Grease and flour an 8 x 8 inch pan

Step 2Cream sugar and shortening until smooth

Step 3Add Eggs, Flour and Sugar, mix well

Step 4Stir in the peeled and chopped apples, the chopped nuts of your choice and the cinnamon

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes

Step 6Dust with confectionery sugar or leave plain.
