This is my Aunt Janet's Recipe and I found this cake to be amazing. Better than a shoo fly pie I recently tried made in Lancaster County, PA and so moist.

Ingredients For shoo fly cake
- CRUMB MIXTURE

4 call purpose flour

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 csugar

3/4 coil ( can use extra virgin oil or vegetable oil or canola oil)
- SET ASIDE 1 CUP OF CRUMB MIXTURE FOR TOPPING ON CAKE
- STEP 2

2 cboiling water

1/2 cdark karo syrup

1/2 cbrer rabbit molasses

1 Tbspbaking soda
How To Make shoo fly cake

1Mix the crumb mixture together and set aside.

2Mix boiling water, karo syrup, and rabbit molasses together in a separate bowl. Add baking soda and stir, this will foam up so make sure the bowl is large enough.

3Add crumb mixture (except 1 cup) to liquid above and mix well.

4Pour into greased 13x9 cake pan. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture to top of cake.

5Bake at 350 for 40 - 45 minutes. ENJOY.
