Semi-Homemade Vanilla Pound Cake

This is the best short-cut pound cake I've ever tasted! I intended to glaze it if it turned out good but changed my mind. It's so stinking good! The almond extract is the secret. I used a full teaspoon the first time and it was too much. The second time, I only used 1/2 teaspoon and it was perfect!

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
  • 2 stick
    butter, softened
  • 2/3 c
  • 4 large
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract

How to Make Semi-Homemade Vanilla Pound Cake


  1. Preheat oven to 350°
    Grease and flour a tube pan.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Mix for 2-3 minutes on medium.
  3. Pour evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes.
  4. Let cool for 15 minutes in pan then turn onto serving plate.
