- 2 cups all purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
How To Make scratch shortcake

Step 1Mix dry ingredients together,cut in shortening,mix in milk will be a thick bisciut like dough

Step 2grease an 8" round cake pan pat dough in lightly

Step 3Bake in pre heated oven 15-20 mins at 450 till toothpick comes out clean. When cooled remove from pan cut top 1/3 off for lid,dust top with icing sugar & fill inside with fruit & cream.
