I remember the smell of the rum coming from this cake, and the adults would go crazy for it. I was too young at the time to even get to taste it! However, there was never even a crumb left on their plates...

Ingredients
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 package vanilla pudding, instant
- 4 - eggs
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- GLAZE:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum

Step 1Mix all but nuts. Put nuts into bottom of tube pan and cover with batter. Bake at 325 degrees until done. When slightly cooled, invert onto plate, poke holes and glaze.

Step 2GLAZE: Boil all but rum together for 5 min, then add rum.
