This is very easy and delicious. The alcohol evaporates but leaves a nice smooth flavor behind.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 small
    vanilla instant pudding
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    rum
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • GLAZE

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 2 oz
    rum

How to Make RUM CAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients well.
  2. Sprinkle nuts on bottom of greased tube pan. Pour batter on top.
  3. 350 for 1 hour or until done. Cool completely before removing from pan.
  4. Glaze - Mix ingredients and boil 1 minute. Add the rum and cool glaze. Place cake on plate and pour cooled glaze over the top.
