This is very easy and delicious. The alcohol evaporates but leaves a nice smooth flavor behind.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small vanilla instant pudding
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • GLAZE
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 ounces rum

How To Make rum cake

  • Step 1
    Mix first 6 ingredients well.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle nuts on bottom of greased tube pan. Pour batter on top.
  • Step 3
    350 for 1 hour or until done. Cool completely before removing from pan.
  • Step 4
    Glaze - Mix ingredients and boil 1 minute. Add the rum and cool glaze. Place cake on plate and pour cooled glaze over the top.
