How To Make rose's gooey praline cake

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 cake pan. Mix the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs together. Spread into greased pan (it will be thick). Sprinkle the chocolate chips all over top of batter. Then pour the water on top, all over chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Step 2
While the cake is baking, make the topping below.
  • Step 3
TO MAKE THE PRALINE TOPPING: Melt the butter on a low heat. After it is melted, add the brown sugar and blend well. Heat for 2 to 3 minutes on low (until sugar is dissolved well). Add the whipping cream and turn heat to medium heat. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool for 8 to 10 minutes. While the cake is still warm from oven, pour the sauce over the top. Sprinkle the pecans on top.
