Ingredients
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
How To Make rolled oats cake

Step 1Combine oats and boiling water. Set aside.

Step 2Mix together remaining ingredents. Add oatmeal mixture. Pour into a greased and floured 9 by 13 cake pan.

Step 3Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tabelspoon butter, 1/4 cup milk and 1 tsp vanilla. Boil 3 minutes. Spoon over cake batter and bake @ 375 for 30 min.
