This is a very intense, thick chocolate cake. I got the inspiration for this from a Pinterest board. Their's didn't sound right, so, of course, I tweaked it and made it my own.

This rich chocolate cake is guaranteed to cure your chocolate cravings. Moist, dense, and rich, the homemade chocolate cake is extremely chocolatey. We loved the bits of chocolate chips throughout. The cake is frosted with a creamy, smooth, and silky chocolate icing. We could eat the icing with a spoon; it's that good.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • ICING
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick's cake batter flavoring

  • Eggs, softened butter, sugar, evaporated milk, and yogurt in a mixing bowl.
