rice krispie elmo
My Granddaughter loves Elmo, so we made this elmo out of Rice Krispie Treats and placed it on white cake...I included lots of little details like a miniature cake out of rice krispies .She loved it..let your imagination go wild!

Ingredients
- 2 packages (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallow
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 12 cups rice krispies
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
How To Make rice krispie elmo

Step 1In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat add 2 tsb vanilla

Step 2Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated. (add a little at a time until well coated but not dry)

Step 3allow to cool briefly (not more than 7 minutes in the refrigerator...coat your hands with butter and shape Elmo, circle for the head, oval with a flat bottom for the body, Shape arms and legs. Place a dowel on the neck and attach the head, add arms place 1/4 of a dowel through "shoulder" onto body, attach legs in the same fashion. The eyes, nose and miniature cake is also made from Rice krispies but use you imagination you could use a cupcake for the cake, Styrofoam balls for the eyes and nose let your imagination go wild! Once the Elmo is formed, chill well before icing. I made a tradition butter icing the first Elmo I made I used red food coloring it took over $10.00 of food coloring to get the right color. The next time I made the Elmo cake I used dry koolaid mix and added to the butter icing and the color was perfect and the taste was awesome! Keep finished cake chilled until serving
