This is such a smooth and moist lemon tube cake .

Don't worry that it has mayonnaise in it ..give it a try and you will be amazed on how delicious this cake is.

It makes a good conversation piece when people are trying to figure out what the secret ingredient is .

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    lemon or yellow cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1 pkg
    instant lemon pudding mix (dry)
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2
    eggs
  • FROSTING :

  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 tsp
    grated lemon rind

How to Make Remarkable Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend all the ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed.
  2. Beat on medium speed for 10 minutes.
  3. Pour into an ungreased 10" tube pan , with the removeable bottom.(angel food cake pan)
  4. Bake @ 350° for 1 hr.
  5. Remove side of pan and allow to cool.
  6. Blend the frosting ingredients until smooth.
  7. Frost before serving if desired.
