  • 2 stick
  • 4 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 c
  • 2
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 c
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    smooth peanut butter
  • 1 stick
  • 4 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 6 Tbsp
  • 1 box
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Reese's Peanut Butter Cake


  1. Heat first 5 ingredients together in medium saucepan until bubbly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and sugar. Add the bubbly cocoa mixture and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  3. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12 cake pan and bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree preheated oven. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  4. Spread peanut butter over cooled cake.
  5. Heat together the 1 stick of margarine, 4 Tbls. cocoa, and 6 Tbls. buttermilk until bubbly. Remove from heat and pour over powdered sugar. Add vanilla and beat until smooth. Pour over peanut butter layer. Allow to cool completely.
