This recipe has been in my family for many years. I can't remember a fall when we did't go to get fresh picked apples and my grandmother making this cake. I still make it every chance I get.

Ingredients

  • ·
    4 cups raw apples peeled and cut up.
  • ·
    2 eggs
  • ·
    ½ cup oil
  • ·
    2 cups sugar
  • ·
    1 cup nuts
  • ·
    1 cup raisins
  • ·
    2 cups flour
  • ·
    2 teaspoons salt
  • ·
    2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ·
    2 teas cinnamon
  • ·
    ½ teas nutmeg

How to Make RAW APPLE CAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. Add one ingredient at a time and stir well after each addition. Place in a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan or 9" bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Good served warm.
  2. At Christmas I add 6 oz of glaced cherries to add color and make a moist fruit cake.
