I love to make these little sweet gems: my granddarlins love to eat them...LOL It is definitely an equitable endeavor. Husbands devour them and ask for more and: You pretty much get anything you want, within reason after that. Try them and see if I'm right.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed, light brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 large (18)oz jar of raspberry jam
How To Make raspberry bars

Step 1In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth Stir together: flour, baking soda and salt Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture Mix until crumbly. Stir in oats

Step 2Press half of the crumbed mixture into the bottlom of a 9x13" pan Spread with jam Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over the top and press lightly into jam Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 10 minutes before cutting into bars.
