This is a favorite cake made by my grandmother. All the women in the family tried but could not make this cake like grandmother could. Theirs was just not as good. Only one aunt could come close to making this cake almost as good as grandmother. The name has always been a mystery to the family. Noone, even grandmother, knew why it was called Quisite Cake. It was a delicious cake that we children always looked forward to eating.
