A fast and delicious way to make an apple coffee cake, when time is short.

1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 tart red apples
2 cans refrigerated biscuits
1/3 cup melted margarine
2/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 t. cinnamon


1grease 9 inch round cake pan; sprinkle with half the nuts;
2wash apples, quarter and core; slice each unpared quarter into 5 thin wedges; dip biscuits into melted butter, coat on all sides with mixture of sugar and cinnamon;
3overlap biscuits in pan (15 around edge, rest in the center) with apple slices, tucked in between, peeling toward the bottom of the pan; sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes. Loosen from pan; invert over serving dish. Let stand a few minutes before removing pan.
