- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

How To Make pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Grease and flour and 8x8 square cake pan

Step 3In a medium size mixing bowl, sift flour together with baking powder, baking soda, salt and pumpkin pie spice.

Step 4In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, oil, sugar, and vanilla then stir in pumpkin.

Step 5Stir flour mixture into liquid mixture and pour into greased cake pan.

Step 6Bake in oven for 34-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 7Cool cake in pan. When cake is completely cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting.
