pumpkin pie cake
I often make this for Halloween treats or Trunk or Treat cake walks at my grandson's school. I divide the frosting and color it with food coloring deep Halloween colors in Orange, Purple, Yellow and White. It makes a colorful and seasonal cake for cake walks. It always goes before the others.

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 - 15 oz cans pumpkin puree
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup raisins
How To Make pumpkin pie cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 375

Step 2Grease and flour baking pans (I use spray on baking pan spray and a bundt pan

Step 3In a large bowl mix in first 5 ingredients to the cake mix

Step 4make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the pumpkin puree, oil and eggs. Beat on low speed till blended then on high speed for 4 minutes. Stir in pecans and raisins.

Step 5Pour into prepared pan (s) Bake 50 minutes to an hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

Step 6Frost with one can of cream cheese frosting. (Or you can make homemade frosting if you prefer.)

Step 7You can also make large muffins or cupcakes with this recipe.
