Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla wafers crushed {about 50}
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup butter softened
- - cake
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 can solid packed pumpkin[16 ounce}
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 4 - eggs
- - filling/topping
- 2/3 cup butter softened
- 1 package 4 ounce cream cheese
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
How To Make pumpkin pecan cake

Step 1In a mixing bowl at medium speed beat the wafers, pecans and butter until crumbly, press into three greased and floured cake pans.

Step 2In another mixing bowl beat cake mix, pumpkin, eggs and butter for 4 minutes til well combined. Spread even amounts into prepared pans, Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean cool in pans 10 minutes,,remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Step 3For the filling combine butter and cream cheese add sugar and vanilla, beat on medium until light and fluffy about 3 or 4 minutes. thinly spread between cake layers {crumb side down} spread on the top and sides. Spread caramel on top of cake and let some drip down the sides. store in the refrigerator.
