This is a very good stand in for a last minute pumpkin pie tasting dessert! It is fast and easy! Some of my guests and family have stated "this is as good or better than pumpkin pie!"

Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 - egg
  • FILLING
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 can pumpkin (15 ounce)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 1 cup reserved crust mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, don't melt

How To Make pumpkin dessert

  • Step 1
    Mix the first three ingredients together, RESERVE 1 cup of this mixture; and pat remainder in an ungreased 9x13 pan.
  • Step 2
    Beat eggs,milk, pumpkin, and spices until well incorporated. Pour on top of the unbaked crust.
  • Step 3
    Mix the last three ingredients until crumbly and put on top of filling as a topping.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serve warm or cool. Very good with whipped topping or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
