  • 1 box
    yellow or white cake mix (set aside 1 cup for later)
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 can(s)
    pumpkin, 16 oz.
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    white sugar
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts or pecans
  • 1/4 c
    soft butter
  • 1 c
    reserved cake mix

How to Make Pumpkin Dessert


  1. Mix cake mix with melted butter. Pat into greased 9x13 inch pan.

    Mix pumpkin, milk, eggs, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together and pour over cake mixture in pan.
  2. Mix together sugar, walnuts, soft butter, and reserved cake mix to make a crumb mixture and sprinkle over filling in pan.

    Bake at 350F degrees for 55 minutes.
