- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 - large eggs
- 1 - 15oz. can pure pumpkin
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 cup whole milk

Step 1PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. SPRAY 2 9 INCH CAKE PANS DUST WITH FLOUR. BEAT TOGETHER BUTTER AND SUGAR ON MED/HIGH SPEED UNTIL FLUFFY. ADD EGGS 1 AT A TIME. BEAT IN PUMPKIN UNTIL SMOOTH. COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS, ADD TO SUGAR MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH MILK. SPOON EVENLY INTO CAKE PANS AND BAKE 22 TO 27 MINUTES.OR UNTIL A TOOTH PICK COMES OUT CLEAN.

Step 2MAPLE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING....MAKES 4 1/2 CUPS. 12OZ. CREAM CHEESE,1/4 C.BUTTER SOFTENED,2T. MAPLE SYRUP,1/4 tsp.CINNAMON 41/2 C. POWDERED SUGAR.

Step 3BEAT CREAM CHEESE AND BUTTER AT MED/HIGH SPEED UNTIL FLUFFY. REDUCE SPEED AND ADD SYRUP AND CINNAMON. GRADUALLY ADD POWDERED SUGAR UNTIL MIXTURE IS SMOOTH.
