Ingredients

4eggs
-
2 csifted all-purpose flour
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
2 tspcinnamon
-
1/2 tspginger
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
2 cgranulated sugar
-
1 cvegetable oil
-
1 can(s)(15-oz.) pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix!)

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
-
1 pkg8-oz. cream cheese, softened
-
3 csifted confectioners' sugar
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 cchopped pecans
How to Make Pumpkin Cake
- Sift all dry ingredients together.
- Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add oil, then pumpkin.
- Add sifted dry ingredients and stir just until mixed.
- Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 for about an hour.
- You can also bake this cake in layers. They'll take less time. Since I've never baked it in layers, I don't know exactly how long, though.
- Cream Cheese Frosting: Mix all ingredients together with an electric mixer and spread all over cake.
