I started with an incomplete recipe and came out with an AWESOME Cake!

    (15oz) pumpkin
  • 1 can(s)
    evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c
  • 4
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 box
    yellow or spice cake mix
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted

How to Make Pumpkin Cake


  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 cake pan.
  2. In large mixing bowl add pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar,vanilla and salt. Mix well for 2 minutes medium speed.Pour in cake pan.
  3. In another bowl with melted butter add cake mix and nuts. I start out adding 1/3 cake mix and 1/3 nuts and stir. I repeat this till its all mixed and crumbly. Evenly top pumpkin mixture. Don't be alarmed since topping is heavy it tends to sink into pumpkin.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Warm or cold if you like pumpkin you will certainly enjoy this!
