Ingredients

2 1/2 c
sugar
2/3 c
shortening or canola oil
4
eggs
1 3/4 c
libby's pumpkin pie mix
2/3 c
water
3 c
flour
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
baking powder
2 scant tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
ground cloves
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 tsp
ginger

How to Make PUMPKIN BREAD

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream 2 1/2 cups sugar and 2/3 cup shortening, or oil. Slightly beat 4 eggs and add to ceamed mixture. Add 1 3/4 cups Libby's pumpkin pie mix
  • 2Add alternately with 2/3 cup of water: 3 cups flour,
    1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 scant tsps of baking soda, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 ea of the following: ground cloves, nutmeg and ginger.
  • 3Put into angel food cake pan, or bundt pan and bake for 350 for 1 hour. Keep an eye on it, as everyones oven is different. make take less time, or more. Use a toothpick to check doneness.
