My whole family loves this recipe. I make it for gifts! very very moist bread!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup shortening or canola oil
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups libby's pumpkin pie mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 scant teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger

How To Make pumpkin bread

  • Step 1
    Cream 2 1/2 cups sugar and 2/3 cup shortening, or oil. Slightly beat 4 eggs and add to ceamed mixture. Add 1 3/4 cups Libby's pumpkin pie mix
  • Step 2
    Add alternately with 2/3 cup of water: 3 cups flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 scant tsps of baking soda, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 ea of the following: ground cloves, nutmeg and ginger.
  • Step 3
    Put into angel food cake pan, or bundt pan and bake for 350 for 1 hour. Keep an eye on it, as everyones oven is different. make take less time, or more. Use a toothpick to check doneness.
