I love apples and I love pumpkin so yeah I found out how to combine both.

Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 /2/3 - sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or 1/2 cup applesauce for half the oil)
  • 1 can solid pumpkin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh apples,peeled,chopped and diced(fuji or gala)
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 8 - ounce cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup butter, room tempetature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

How To Make pumpkin apple bars

  • Step 1
    Peel chop and dice apples and set aside. Mix eggs,sugar,oiland pumpkin well with electric mixer,til light and fluffy.
  • Step 2
    Stir together dry ingredients,flour,baking powder,soda,cinnamon,nutmeg and salt.Now add 2 Tablespoon of flour mixture to fresh diced and chopped apples. Toss very well. Set aside the apples.
  • Step 3
    Add all the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture. Mix on Low speed til batter is smooth and well blended. Now you can add the floured apples and stir well to blend.
  • Step 4
    Pour you batter evenly into greased 10 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool completely, before frosting frost with cream cheese frosting cut into 2 x 3 bars and enjoy.
