How to Make Prune Cake
- Cream together sugar and crisco. Blend in 3 eggs and 1/2 cup sour cream.
- Sift flour with the spices, baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt.
Add to creamed ingredients. - Beat in one cup seeded prunes.
- Pour into two greased, floured 9" cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Organize frosting ingredients. As soon as cake is done, remove from oven to cool on racks. Begin frosting:
- Combine eggs, sugar, sour cream, prunes and salt in large saucepan. Using electric beaters, beat ingredients over medium heat until thick and completely cooked. Immediately assemble and frost cake.
