How to Make Prune Cake
- Mix together sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla.
- add remaining ingredients
- If using plain flour, also use 1 teaspoon of soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cook in 9x14 pan. At 325 for 50 t 55 minute
- For the sauce use: 1 cup white sugar, 1 tsp soda, 1 tablespoon Karo white syrup and 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add one stick butter or margarine. Boil until forms stiff drop from spoon. Pour over cake while hot and still in the pan.
