Pralines are one of my favorite candies at Christmas, I found this recipe in a cookbook from Extension Homemakers Clubs.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup margarine, melted
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 package supermoist butter pecan cake mix
How To Make praline cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Mix all ingredients except cake mix in small bowl.

Step 3Spread in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.

Step 4Prepare cake mix as directed on package.

Step 5Pour batter carefully over pecan mixture in pan.

Step 6Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center, 35 to 40 minutes.

Step 7Run knife around edges of pan to loosen sides; immediately invert pan on heatproof serving tray.

Step 8Leave pan over cake for 5 minutes; remove pan.

Step 9Serve warm or cool and if desired, with sweetened whipped cream.
