One of the first cake recipes my grandma taught me how to make. Quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 package cake mix
  • 2 packages (4 serving) instant pudding
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 4 cups cold milk

How To Make poke it pudding cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare cake mix as directed on the package. Bake in a 13x9x2" cake pan.
  • Step 2
    Remove from oven. Poke holes at once down through the cake to pan with the round handle of a wooden spoon. Holes should be about 1" apart.
  • Step 3
    After poking holes; combine pudding with sugar in a large bowl. Gradually stir in milk. Then beat for 1 minute.
  • Step 4
    Quickly, before the pudding thickens; pour about half of the thin pudding over the warm cake and into the holes.
  • Step 5
    Allow the remaining pudding to thicken slightly then spoon over the top of the cake, swirling to frost the cake.
  • Step 6
    Chill for at least 1 hour.
