Ingredients
- 12 - small fresh plums, peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 - egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract, or lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
How To Make plum upside down cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350*.

Step 2Mix together brown sugar and melted butter. Spread into the bottom of a 9" cake pan. Place plum pieces on top of brown sugar mixture.

Step 3Beat eggs and granulated sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add milk, lemon zest, and both extracts.

Step 4In a second bowl mix together dry ingredients. Add to egg mixture. Mix well.

Step 5Pour batter over plums.

Step 6Bake 30-35 minutes until browned and a toothpick inserted in the center is removed clean.

Step 7Let cool 5-10 minutes and invert onto a plate.
