I have been making this cake for over 30 years and it is one of my families favorite recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 box
    instant pistachio pudding
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    water
  • CAKE INGREDIENTS

  • BUTTER CREAM FROSTING

  • 2 stick
    room temperature butter
  • 1 box
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk

How to Make Pistachio Cake with Butter Cream Frosting

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 10 inch tube pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl add cake mix,instant pudding, eggs, 1/2 cup oil and 1 cup of water. Beat with electric mixer for 3-4 minutes on medium. Pour into bundt pan. Bake for 55 minutes. Test with toothpick. When done place on cooling rack to cool completely. Turn onto a serving dish.
  3. To make the frosting, add all ingredients in a medium bowl and stir well. You can frost the cake when it has cooled or just serve a dollop on the side of a serving piece.
