pistachio cake
When I was about 9 yrs. old my neighbor and I used to play scrabble together all the time. She used to make this alot, and I had to have the recipe. Thank you, Elsie Bennett you were the bestes ever : )

Ingredients
- 1 package yellow or white cake mix - no pudding in the mix
- 1/2 cup oil
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 package 3.1/2 oz. instant pistachio pudding
- 3/4 cup hershey chocolate syrup
- - green food coloring
How To Make pistachio cake

Step 1Mix all ingredients except choc. syrup.

Step 2Add green food coloring to preferred shade to mix. Mix a couple of minutes until smooth.

Step 3Take out 1 and 1/2 cups of batter from mix and put into small mixing bowl. Add the chocolate syrup to the 1 1/2 cups of batter in the small bowl. Mix well

Step 4Pour the green mix into a well greased and floured angle food cake pan. Then pour the choc. mix on top of that evenly. (Optional) Sprinkle with chopped Pecans

Step 5Bake at 350 about 55 min. Let cake cool B-4 removing cake from pan. Enjoy!!!
