Ingredients

1/4 c
butter
1/2 c
brown sugar
8 1/2 oz
pineapple, canned or fresh
1 1/4 c
flour
1 c
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 t tsp
salt
3/4 c
milk
1/3 c
shortening
1 large
egg
t tsp
vanilla

Step-By-Step

1Melt butter in a round cake pan. Sprikle brown sugar over melted butter. Place pineapple over sugar.
2Mix remaining ingredients together on low speed with a hand mixer. Increase speed to high speed for three minutes, scaping bowl occasionally. Pour over pineapple.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 mintue or until toothpick comes out clean.
