Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 8 1/2 ounces pineapple, canned or fresh
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 t teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 large egg
- t teaspoon vanilla
How To Make pineapple upside down cake

Step 1Melt butter in a round cake pan. Sprikle brown sugar over melted butter. Place pineapple over sugar.

Step 2Mix remaining ingredients together on low speed with a hand mixer. Increase speed to high speed for three minutes, scaping bowl occasionally. Pour over pineapple. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 mintue or until toothpick comes out clean.
