I got this recipe when I was a freshman in HS in Warner Robins, GA. In those days, most girls took home ec. This is one of my favorite recipes from that class.

Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- TOPPING
- - brown sugar, enough to cover bottom of skillet
- - butter, thin slices scattered over brown sugar
- - pineapple, slices, drained (reserve juice)
- - maraschino cherries, enough for 1 per pineapple slice
How To Make pineapple upside down cake

Step 1Put brown sugar in bottom of iron skillet, place thin slices of butter over sugar, moisten with pineapple juice.

Step 2Place pineapple slices in pan, place maraschino cherry in hole of each pineapple ring.

Step 3Make batter as for any cake. Pour over pineapple/cherry/brown sugar.

Step 4Bake for 1 hr at 250 degrees.
