Pineapple Upside Down Cake
This cake is wonderful served warm with whipped cream or ice cream
- 1 pkg
- yellow cake mix
- 1 can(s)
- pineapple slices
- 1/4 c
- butter, melted
- 1/4 c
- brown sugar
How to Make Pineapple Upside Down Cake
- 1Place butter in a Black skillet or pan. Place in oven while preheating until melted add brown sugar and stir until combined. Place pineapple slices on top of brown sugar mixture.
- 2Mix cakemix according to package directions, but use the juice from the can and add water to equal the amount of liquid needed.
- 3Pour batter in the skillet and bake until it springs back or a toothpick is clean. When cake is done place platter or plate on top of pan and flip over.
- 4Other ways to add more flavor to this cake is to poke holes in cake after removing it from the oven and lightly drizzle spiced rum or whatever you would like.
