pineapple supreme sheet cake

This family recipe has been use many times in my 80 years, about 50 times I would say, but don't quote me on that. This cake is moist and reminds me of a pineapple upside down cake --and everyone knows how much I love that.-----My friends and neighbors ask for the recipe and love when I bring it to cookouts. Ingredients
- 20 ounces can crushed pineapple not drained
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for top of batter)
- TOPPING
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk , such as pet or carnation
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup granulated sugar
How To Make pineapple supreme sheet cake

Step 1For cake: Heat oven to 350^ Mix all ingredients together (except brown sugar). Pour into 9x13 inch lightly greased pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over top of batter, before baking. Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean/

Step 2Topping: Bring all ingredients together and boil for 2 minutes., or more-until thickens slightly when dropped from spoon.(soft-ball stage) Pour over hot cake. Return cake to oven for 5 minutes.Cool on wire rack.

Step 3Non cook frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar. 1 cup butter or margarine 2/3 cup pet milk warm 1 teaspoon vanilla nuts Combine sugar and butter and slowly add Pet milk and beat until sugar is dissolved and right spreading consistency. Add vanilla and spread on cake.. sprinkle with nuts.
