Ingredients
- PINEAPPLE POUND CAKE
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 1 cup butter
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 6 - eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup crushed pineapple, undrained
- PINEAPPLE POUND CAKE GLAZE
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
How To Make pineapple pound cake

Step 1Pineapple Pound Cake - Cream butter. Gradually add sugar. Cream thoroughly.

Step 2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 3Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture one large spoonful at a time, alternately with milk.

Step 4Add vanilla. Stir in crushed pineapple with juice and blend well.

Step 5Pour into well greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350 for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours or until top springs back when lightly touched.

Step 6Let stand for a few minutes in pan. Move knife around edge and put onto cake plate. Pour glaze over warm cake.

Step 7Pineapple Glaze - Cream butter and add confectioner's sugar and drained crushed pineapple. Pour over cake immediately.
