~ Pineapple Orange Cake ~
I do have a from scratch version posted, but wanted something easier - so called my mother and sure enough she had this recipe.
I hope the delicious picture inspires someone to get out those cake pans,( now that the weather is cooling in most places) and bake your family this delicious cake.
- 1 - 18 1/4 oz
- yellow cake mix
- 1/3 c
- 1 1/3 c
- 8 oz
- softened cream cheese
- 1 1/2 c
- confectioner's sugar
- 1 - 20 oz
- crushed pineapple and juices
- 2 - 8 oz
- cans - drained mandarin oranges
- 1 - 31/2 oz
- instant vanilla pudding
- 1 - 8 oz
- tub, thawed whipped topping
How to Make ~ Pineapple Orange Cake ~
- 3Place one layer on a cake plate, cut side up and spread with frosting. ( Make sure you reserve enough frosting for the top and sides of cake.) Place anther layer of cake, cut side down. Spread with more frosting.
Repeat with remaining layers, spreading remaining frosting on top and sides of cake.
Decorate the top with remaining mandarins.
Best served after refrigerating over night.
