A delicious moist pineapple cake, topped with a homemade cream cheese frosting and a few chopped walnuts.

    ingredients:
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • Pinch of
    salt
  • 1 (20 oz.)
    can of crushed pineapple in 100% pineapple juice
  • 1/4 to 1/3 c
    chopped walnuts
  • Frosting
    ingredients:
  • 1 stick
    butter (8 tablespoons)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make pineapple cake with cream cheese frosting

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a large bowl, add cake ingredients. Mix together well with a fork.

    Pour cake batter in a greased 13" x 9" cake pan. Spread evenly in pan with a spoon.

    Place pan in the oven, and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Until top of cake appears a light golden brown in color.

    Then insert with a toothpick to see if cake is done.

    Allow cake to cool completely before spreading on the frosting and sprinkling with chopped walnuts.
