Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple, in it's own juice, 20 oz
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • - frosting
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter, softened use butter for the best flavor.
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened, 8 oz
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

How To Make pineapple cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9 pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix all the cake ingredients together, by hand and then pour into the pan. Bake for 40 minutes or till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step 3
    Frosting
  • Step 4
    Cream butter and cream cheese till smooth. Add sugar and mix till smooth, stir in vanilla. Mix in nuts.
  • Step 5
    Frost cake when it is completely cooled.
