Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    crushed pineapple, in it's own juice, 20 oz
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 2 c
    pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    frosting
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened use butter for the best flavor.
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese, softened, 8 oz
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    pecans or walnuts, chopped

How to Make Pineapple Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9 pan.
  2. Mix all the cake ingredients together, by hand and then pour into the pan. Bake for 40 minutes or till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. Frosting
  4. Cream butter and cream cheese till smooth. Add sugar and mix till smooth, stir in vanilla. Mix in nuts.
  5. Frost cake when it is completely cooled.
