Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups crushed pineapple, not drained
- 2 - large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- FROSTING:
- 1 - stick butter
- 1 - small can evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
How To Make pineapple cake

Step 1Mix all the cake ingredients with spoon -- do not beat. Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9 pan for 35-40 minutes at 350 or in two 9-inch cake pans.

Step 2For the frosting, place the butter, milk, vanilla and sugar in a saucepan and cook until thick, about 10 minutes or so. Add coconut and nuts. Cook 5 more minutes.

Step 3Pour over cake 5 minutes after taking it from the oven.
