This is made in a cookie sheet and is really moist.Mom made this quite often when I was a child. She would put it in my school lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 4 Tbsp
    cocoa
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 2
    eggs beaten
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How to Make Phyllis's Old German Chocolate Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring to a Boil butter, cocoa, water and oil.
  2. mix sugar and flour.
  3. Pour butter mixture over flour mixture and mix well.
  4. Add; 2 eggs,milk,baking soda,vanilla and cinnamon. Mix well with blender.
  5. Bake in greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.Until browned.
  6. ICING: Bring to a boil 1/2 cup butter,4 tablespoons cocoa. Take off heat and add 1 box powdered sugar,1 teaspoon vanilla,6 tablespoons milk,and 1 cup of chopped pecans.
