special dark cocoa is what I use and love in this but the org. calls for cocoa so either way is i am sure a winner

all purpose flour
3/4 c
special dark cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
2
egg
1 c
milk
1/2 c
vegetable oil
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
boiling water

GLAZE

2/3 c
powdered sugar
1 Tbsp
special dark cocoa powder
1 1/2 Tbsp
water
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make "Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour pan.
  • 2Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • 3Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Top with powdered sugar and glaze
