I got this idea from a cooking magazine eons ago. I don't even remember the name of the magazine! I thought it was such a cute idea for my church's fellowship service around Easter.

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1 box jell-o instant vanilla pudding mix
4 - eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 cup milk
1 - regular-sized bag of chocolate chips
4 boxes yellow peeps marshamllow chicks

How To Make peeps "sunflower" cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. Mix box of cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil & milk (DO NOT follow directions on cake mix box!). Pour into greased 9in round cake pan. Bake till toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.

Step 2

Cut cake into 2 layers. Add icing to bottom layer. Place top layer on & finish icing the whole cake. WITHOUT SEPARATING THEM, place each box of Peeps around edges of cake. 1 by 1, add chocolate chips to the rest of the top of the cake.
