pecan topped apple cake
I think the reason I like this recipe so much is because the apples are so incorporated into this cake that every bite is apple. The apples are cooked on top of the stove so that when you add them they are mushy and become part of the cake. The topping is sweet and crunchy and the pecans are hard to see because I chopped them very fine. It is such a reminder that fall is here.
