pecan pie brownies

These are the best of two incredibly delicious worlds! I've made these several times, but have not made them since I've started "photo-shooting" my food! Got the recipe from Pillsbury's "Best Recipes" cookbook.

Ingredients

  • FILLING
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • BROWNIES
  • 21 1/2 ounces pkg of pillsbury family size deluxe fudge brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup very hot water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 - egg

How To Make pecan pie brownies

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom only of 13x9 inch pan.
  • Step 2
    In medium saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Add brown sugar and 2 eggs; mix well. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    In large bowl, combine brownie ingredients. Bean 50 strokes with a sppon. Spread into prepared pan.
  • Step 4
    Spoon filling over top of brownie mix.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until set. **DO NOT OVERCOOK** Cool completely and cut into bars.
